If you're dreaming of sunshine and island vibes, this Cayman lemonade recipe is the perfect way to bring the tropics to your glass. With a vibrant red hue and a mix of fruity, citrusy flavors, this refreshing cocktail is as easy to make as it is to enjoy—ideal for beach days, backyard barbecues, or relaxing evenings at home.

This year around our kids' spring breaks, we decided to take a trip to the Cayman Islands. I have a friend who's originally from there, and she inspired us to visit. Two of our college-aged children were able to join us. (The other went to Honduras on a mission trip.)
There is nothing better than spending spring break on a tropical island! If you've never considered visiting, I highly recommend it! Most people visit Grand Cayman, which is where the resorts are, along with famous beaches such as Seven Mile Beach. But you could also choose Little Cayman or Cayman Brac - locally called "The Brac". Here's a photo to inspire you!

If you love tropical cocktails, you should also try my recipe for a Mango Coconut Daiquiri, which we had in Costa Rica. Prefer something fruity but non-alcoholic? This Cotton Candy Frap is right up your alley!
Ingredients
A Cayman Lemonade is easy to whip up with a few standard bar techniques, but you don't need to be a fancy bartender. Here is a photo of the basic ingredients.

- Vodka – A neutral spirit that forms the base of the drink without overpowering the other flavors.
- Triple sec – A sweet, citrus-flavored liqueur that adds a bright, orangey note.
- Peach schnapps – Brings a smooth, fruity sweetness that pairs well with the citrus elements.
- Cranberry juice – Just a splash gives the drink its beautiful red color and a touch of tartness.
- Club soda – Adds bubbles and lightens the drink, making it extra refreshing.
- Crushed ice – Helps chill and dilute the cocktail slightly, balancing the flavors.
- Lemon or lime slice (garnish) – Adds a citrusy aroma and a pop of color to finish the drink.

Instructions
Use this section for process shots, alternating between the step and image showing the step. Users don't like seeing process shots cluttering up the recipe card, so include your process shots here.
Step 1

Add crushed ice to glass.
Step 2

Shake together the three liquors, then pour over ice.
Step 3

Add a splash of cranberry juice.
Step 4

Continue filling the glass with club soda. Add a squeeze of lime if you'd like, or garnish with a lime wedge.
The amount of cranberry juice you add really affects the color more than the taste. If it's not pretty enough, feel free to add more! You'll notice that the color above is not as dark as some of the other photos; I added a bit more to achieve the color I liked.
Substitutions
You can substitute seltzer water for the club soda if you want. I think the club soda is a little better, but either one works.
Equipment
The only thing you really need for this is a glass to drink from!
It's helpful to have a way to measure the alcohol, which is where a jigger comes in handy. Feel free to use any other method, or eyeball it if you're good enough to do that!
A Boston Shaker is also useful - that's the name for the cocktail shaker that has a smaller metal side and a larger one. You can put the ice into the larger side, and the alcohol into the smaller side, and shake it to prepare it.
Or just combine the alcohol in a glass, mix, and pour over the ice :)

Top Tip
Chill your glass ahead of time for an extra-refreshing experience. A cold glass keeps the crushed ice from melting too quickly, so your Cayman lemonade stays crisp and balanced longer.
