Perfect for Independence Day, Flag Day, or any other patriotic holiday, these easy-to-assemble Mason Jar Trifles are a quick and festive dessert.
Equipment
4 12-ounce mason jars see notes
Prevent your screen from going dark
Ingredients
½angel food cakepremade
½pintfresh blueberries
6ouncesfresh raspberries
½poundfresh strawberries
⅓canReddi-Wipsee notes
Instructions
Remove the leafy tops of the strawberries, and if desired, cut them in half. Wash all berries under running water.
Cut the cake into 1-inch squares
In each mason jar, layer pieces of cake, then berries, then Reddi Wip. Repeat for 6-12 total layers, depending on how deep your layers are.
Serve immediately (or the Reddi Wip will deflate!)
Notes
The Reddi Wip comes in an aerosol can, which makes it easier to squirt into the jars. You can easily substitute Cool Whip, or even homemade whipped cream, and use a spoon to add it to the jars.If you have different size Mason jars, just adjust the size of your cake pieces, number of layers, or quantities of berries to work with what you have!
