How to Make Homemade Soft Pretzels with Beer 

Warm, soft pretzels are the ultimate comfort food. Make for game day, weekends, or anytime you want this delicious treat.


– beer – white sugar – Kosher salt – active dry yeast – unsalted butter – all purpose flour – baking soda – 1 egg yolk  – vegetable oil


In a stand mixer, combine beer, sugar, and salt. Sprinkle yeast on top and allow to sit for 5 minutes.


Add melted butter and flour, then knead with the dough hook for 5 minutes.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and allow to rise for one hour.


Shape and form pretzels by hand. Heat water an baking soda in a large pot, and cook each pretzel for 30 seconds.


Transfer to baking sheet and brush each pretzel with an egg wash. Sprinkle with salt. Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes.
