Chevy’s Stove Top Pork Carnitas

Carnitas are a yummy filling for tacos and burritos. This recipe cooks right on the stovetop and doesn't require special equipment


- pork butt - Coke or Pepsi - soy sauce - pineapple juice - oranges - spices: cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, white and black pepper, garlic, chili powder, oregano


Combine spices to make a dry rub, and apply to outside of pork butt. Press to help it adhere.

Combine juice and peel from oranges with pineapple juice to make a marinade. Add pork butt.


After marinating, add pork butt and Coke to pot and cook for 2 hours.



Shred pork, then place under broiler to crisp. Serve on flour or corn tortillas with your favorite toppings.
