I’ve had the same Christmas wreath on my front door for a few years now. It was inspired by Pinterest (this pin) and seemed easy enough to make. I was working a palette with red, white, and lime green that year and it ended up being a pretty and fun design.…
I have to admit that Halloween is probably my favorite holiday of the year. I know it’s supposed to be Easter or Christmas, and I do love those, and especially the reason for those seasons! But there’s just something about dressing up for Halloween that strikes my fancy. My favorite costumes are homemade – I’ve been Effie Trinket, Maleficent, a hockey player with a missing tooth, and many others.
This year I picked my husband’s favorite muppet, instead, as a surprise. He loves the Swedish Chef! And it was pretty easy to do.
Earlier this year I pulled out a cross stitch project I hadn’t completed or even touched in a number of years.
Unfortunately I have several of these! There’s one of the Charleston SC south Battery Homes that I started in college and hasn’t been added to in probably 20 years now….
I totally skipped over this on Father’s Day, but I wanted to share what the kids and I made for Pete. Found on Pinterest, of course. The original is over at Two Girlz Stuff but it’s nothing more than a picture. Still, it was enough to go on!
Note my older daughter’s feet on the left…too cute 🙂
One of my favorite downtime activities is crocheting. In order to qualify as downtime, it has to require very little counting, so mostly I make rectangular things like scarves (very useful in central Florida!!!), blankets, and pillows. So I told my girls I would make each of them a scarf. My youngest picked out a yarn in a variety of pinks and greens, and I decided to do a Tunisian single stitch.
